What is Opti-Turmeric®?
Turmeric is most commonly known as the main spice used in curry powders to give them their taste and colour. However, the root of the turmeric plant contains ‘curcuminoids’ which have been widely used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine, with a long history of traditional use in India and China. It’s these curcuminoids that have been of significant interest in recent sports nutrition research. Opti−Turmeric® contains 500 mg liquid curcumin and 20 mg vitamin C to support your immune and bone health as well as the normal function and formation of cartilage, which is essential for healthy joints.
Why is ours better?
Absorption is the biggest factor to consider when choosing a turmeric supplement. Standard curcuminoids (the active ingredient in turmeric) aren't water soluble and are therefore very poorly absorbed by our bodies. This is where our exclusive Opti−Turmeric® formulation offers its strength. We convert the curcuminoids into a fully water soluble and pH stable form, making it much more bioavailable than a standard turmeric tablet. In fact, it is 185 times better−absorbed and 7 times faster−acting than standard powdered turmeric.
